JENN GOTZON's career break portraying President Nixon's daughter Tricia Nixon (cameo) in Ron Howard's Oscar nominee FROST/NIXON launched her as a Rising Indie Film Star leading nine
faith and family films soon-to-be released, including Vatican endorsed mysterious, romance-thriller DOONBY and festival-winning family dramedy GOD'S COUNTRY.

GOTZON, "who is compared to a young Meryl Streep for her chameleon-like transformations," stated by Valley Social Magazine, uses her starring roles as a platform to screen movies and
speak to audiences as a vehicle to inspire hope and passion through the roles she plays on and off screen.

Raised in the countryside of the Lehigh Valley in PA, GOTZON has persistently pursued her dream to play
complex protagonist characters that find redemption in the climax of the film's storylines. She began
performing right out of high school, appearing in murder mystery dinner theater, competing for Miss America
and dancing for Walt Disney World.

After studying at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, GOTZON moved to California and landed
a string of bit parts featured in big productions like Ang Lee's HULK, Sean William Scott starrer ROLE
MODELS, Sundance pleaser 500 DAYS OF SUMMER, along with Emmy-winning TV series PUSHING
DAISIES and HOUSE. Big parts in smaller productions came her way, too, including 168 Film Festival
2008 best film winner STAINED that earned her the fest's best actress award for her lead role as a political
prisoner.

At the 2008 Wildwood By-The-Sea (NJ) Film Festival she was named Rising Star of the year for her
leading lady turn in the speed-dating romantic comedy short CHEMISTRY whose fest director Paul Russo
described GOTZON as "having the acting depth of Kate Winslet and the charisma of Reese Witherspoon."
Since the Pennsylvania native got her break, ironically, on Pennsylvania Avenue in FROST/NIXON,
GOTZON's dream began coming true.

Since 2010, she starred in nine feature films to be released by 2013:
romance-mystery-drama DOONBY opposite "The Dukes of Hazzard" star John Schneider; political-thriller
DRAGON DAY about a Chinese cyber-takeover of the U.S.; French and Indian War true-story drama

SEPTEMBER SKIES; entertaining Ferrari driving dramedy GODS COUNTRY, inspirational drama
I AM... GABRIEL written and directed by Chuck Norris's son Mike (starring her Doonby co-star John
Schneider and tv's Superman Dean Cain), 1940's old Hollywood comedy THE SCREENWRITERS with
"October Baby" star Jason Burkey and crime suspense thriller UNTOUCHED as Savannah's powerhouse
district attorney. Next up in the queue for production: family action film WHEELER with Jennifer Hudson
and William H. Macy, along with romantic-comedy THREE TIMES A LADY with Kevin Sorbo. All are
socially relevant films that endeavor to make a difference in people's lives.

GOTZON's passion is impacting and inspiring audiences through the message behind the roles she plays.

Growth In the Inland Empire: What to Expect in 2013

On March 19th, at 2pm Pacific/5pm Eastern, Mobile Mary talks with Dr. John Husing, PhD, the leading authority on the Inland Empire economy, an area he has been studying since he wrote his doctoral thesis on the region in the 1960s. His influence on the business and political landscape has been so extensive that the Los Angeles Times named him one of the 100 most powerful people in Southern California in 2006. He is the writer of the Quarterly Economic Report, an economic newsletter now in its 21st year. His company, Economics & Politics, Inc., provides consulting services for municipalities and counties with economic strategies, statistical data packages, recommendations for public policy and briefing presentations to business and political leaders about the nature, growth and economic trends of Southern California.

The BRC or Business Resource Connection, is a strategic alliance of business leaders dedicated to growing SoCal companies, and they are hosting this informative event with Keynote speaker, Dr. John Husing. Dr. Husing will present Growth in the Inland Empire: What to Expect in 2013 to Inland Empire businesses at an event planned for Tuesday, March 26th at the Corona Public Library. Dr. John Husing, the leading authority on the Inland Empire economy states that "the IE is showing growth in a number of areas."This event will allow participants to get up close and personal with Dr. Husing, allowing ample time to interact with this top economist to understand regional opportunities that will build their businesses. Additionally, extensive networking with regional businesses will be highlighted.

Dr John Husing is a research economist who has specialized in the study of Southern California's growing economy since 1964.  For decades, he has produced city and county specific economic development strategies for the region's local government.  He is also a leading authority on the impact of the goods movement industry on the region, and in particular its role as a provider of upward economic mobility to blue collar workers.  With his significant understanding of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, he assists the Inland Empire Economic Partnership as its Chief Economist.

Dr. Husing's extensive study of the region has led to economic strategies that combine a database of statistics with extensive interviews with executives and entrepreneurs to understand the forces shaping Southern California.  His firm, Economics & Politics, Inc., based in Redlands, has produced project specific economic impact studies for transportation and water agencies, housing developers and environmental entities.  For an economist, he has an unique viewpoint of our political process, having managed over 100 partisan (Democratic) and non-partisan campaigns.  Today, his prolific knowledge of the region and his political experience has him briefing business leaders and policy makers throughout California on the economic trends and issues relating to budgets, state initiatives and public policy.  His eclectic career has remarkably included managing a Nevada casino, running for Congress in his twenties, teaching college and running the world's largest whitewater rafting company.

Dr. Husing enjoys a less studious life as an adventurer, taking treks into uncharted territories as well as traveling to 65 different countries.  He has twice entered the unexplored jungles of New Guinea to make first contact with previously undiscovered stone-aged tribes.  Dr. Husing has traveled throughout most of Africa and his last two adventures took him over the Himalayas from Nepal into Tibet, and 25 days on a ship traveling to 77 degrees south latitude to Scott's 1910 expedition hut in Antarctica.  A fourth generation Californian, he is an amateur genealogist having traced his American heritage back 12 generations to Edward Fuller on the Mayflower. Since Mobile Mary is a FIFTH generation Californian, you know they will have lots to talk about!

AMA Leaders Share Digital Marketing Insights

The AMA-IE just held a successful conference on digital media marketing.  This event which was co-sponsored by UCR Extension featured keynote speakers from Google and eBay as well as local marketing experts.  The topics raised by our presenters are timely information that will benefit anyone who is interested in the latest digital media trends in general and user experience in particular. 

Our Brilliant listeners will learn about the highlights of this Content Packed day and about all that the American Marketing Association offers!

Prakash Chandran-Google

A California native, Prakash grew up in Malibu and has always loved computers and computer games. During high school, he co-founded  started a web company called AstralFX and also worked part time at a small computer software company called Goldram Communications.

After graduating high school in 1999, he attended Cal Poly Pomona to pursue a degree in Technology and Operations Management. He spent his summers in Santa Barbara working at a web company called Expertcity (later GoToMyPC then acquired by Citrix) doing QA and design.

In the last two years of college, he taught professors how to design websites for themselves and designed a few of Cal Poly's sister school sites.

After graduating college in 2004, he was asked to join a small struggling software company called Picasa as a visual designer. After working there for almost six months, Google acquired them.

Over the next 7.5 years he worked on a number of different products for Google which began with the continued visual design of Picasa and Picasa Web Albums (Picasa's web counterpart).

He subsequently moved on to become the lead designer for Google Calendar and was also a member of the Gmail+ team which covered designing various features within the Gmail app.

He ascended to working for Google's Enterprise group which handles promoting Google Apps as a competitive replacement for Microsoft's productive suite of apps. On this team he worked with almost every product in Google's product suite and after about a year and a half was promoted to team lead. Prakash was the lead for the Enterprise design and research team at Google which included managing a cross continental team of 15. He recently left Google to start his own company to help businesses connect more transparently with their customers

Sashee Chandran-EBay

Sashee is a Marketing Manager at eBay, currently participating in the organization's first Marketing Rotation Program, a two year experience designed to equip her with cross-functional expertise across multiple marketing channels including brand marketing, email marketing, social marketing, and internet marketing. 

Sashee has been in the market research industry for nearly five years, leading customer focused research at eBay.  Before her current stint at eBay, Sashee started her own research company, Inscite Research, which solved the customer needs of both small businesses and world-class organizations like Disney Interactive, GameFly, and Samsung.

Sashee graduated in 2007 with  a degree in Economics from UC Irvine.  She also spent a year at the London School of Economics studying management.

Sashee is passionate about all tools and channels that give insight into customer needs.

Ron Burgess-CEO Red Fusion Media 

Ron Burgess is a seasoned marketing consultant with decades of work with clients that dominate their market niches. His average engagement is 12 years and the longest over 21 years, where the company has grown over 1000%.

Ron has business and art degrees from the University of Colorado . He has founded three businesses and was division head for a national consulting firm where he trained 120 field consultants on small business tools and profitability. His practice was established in 1989, and co-founded Red Fusion Media which grew out of his need to support client marketing execution. Ron is the author of "Finding Your Crack In The Market," and over 100 published articles on small business marketing.

Russ Cornelius- CEO Brand Savants

During a career spanning over 30 years, working on the agency and client side, Russ has accumulated experience in developing and implementing strategic marketing initiatives for regional and national clients in health care, hospitality, retail, and financial services, as well as within various business to business sectors.

Seeing the correlation between a company's business culture and the effective execution of a company's brand, Russ founded Brand Savants. Realizing that brand development and the subsequent branding processes require companies to look inward as well as outward, and that the brand development process is a company-wide initiative, and not just a marketing initiative, Russ developed EnculturationTM, an internal brand initiative program.

Russ is one of just twenty-four Certified Brand Strategists in the country. Russ is past president of the San Diego Chapter, American Marketing Association and is currently a member of the Inland Empire American Marketing Association board.

Kelly Donovan- Principal of Kelly Donovan & Associates and Donovan Communications

Kelly Donovan is the creator of Link to Success, a series of training videos covering the use of LinkedIn in networking. A former journalist who has also worked in public relations and marketing, her current focus is career communications for executive job seekers nationwide. She has been quoted by Fast Company, MSN, and CareerBuilder, among others. Additionally, she assists marketing and PR departments with writing and editing. Kelly has a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of North Florida.

John McCarthy- Director of Marketing iHerb.com

John McCarthy is the director of marketing for iHerb.com, a leading online international retailer of health and wellness products sold directly to consumers. iHerb is listed as a top 200 property by Internet Retailer offering over 35,000 SKUs and has shipped products to 150 countries.

Prior to joining iHerb John worked for two leading digital marketing agencies for over 10 yrs. specializing in search engine optimization (SEO).
